Maybe you’re moving to a new computer and don’t have Outlook installed, or you’re replacing an older email client with Gmail. Regardless of the reason, there are several steps you can take to make the transition as smooth as possible.

First, open Gmail on your new computer and sign in. Next, open up the emails you want to transfer emails  from Outlook. In Gmail, click the three lines in the top left corner of the message box and select “Move To.” In the “To:” field, type in your Gmail address (without the @gmail.com part). In the “Subject:” field, type a brief but descriptive subject for your email. Finally, in the “From:” field, type your Outlook email address (again, without the @outlook.com part). Click OK to finish moving the email. Your old emails will be moved into a separate folder on your new computer called “Migrated Messages.”
